Downtown Asheville Tours

Our friendly guides conduct tours that highlight Asheville’s history, architecture, and our finest shopping venues. The first stop is Historic Biltmore Village, a community of unique boutiques, restaurants & galleries. Before heading Downtown, we may make a sidetrack to the Folk Art Center on the Blue Ridge Parkway, a handicraft museum with both revolving exhibits showcasing the preeminent crafters and artisans of the Blue Ridge and a large gift shop featuring the finest in traditional mountain and contemporary American crafts. The final stop is Downtown where we have lunch at a finer café, followed by several stops where there are a myriad of unique shops.

Asheville Brewery Tours

From IPAs to ambers, ESBs to porters, Asheville’s craft breweries receive high marks from beer enthusiasts worldwide. Taking their cue from traditional brewing styles, Asheville microbreweries add a bit of the mountains to each batch. Our first stop is a beer tasting lunch at a local pub serving great food and several choices of local brews. After lunch, you will get a VIP tour in a second brewery where we interact with the brew master and partake of a generous beer sampling followed by a stop at a third brewery with even more samples. This tour includes roundtrip transportation with a local cicerone, an ample sampling of beer, and an all-inclusive beer lunch.

Chimney Rock Park Tours

Just a short drive south of Asheville you will find the breathtaking Chimney Rock State Park. Nestled between Lake Lure and Bat Cave, this 1000-acre park features the 535 million year old “Chimney Rock,” which has become one of the most photographed sites in the United States. Ascend 26 stories, or 258 feet, in about 35 seconds in the rock enclosed elevator to the top of the mountain for 75-mile panoramic views. Hiking trails for every ability, rock climbing and one of the tallest waterfalls in the country are just some of what this historic park has to offer. If your group has enough time, we can also add a guided pontoon tour on scenic and historic Lake Lure.

Art Safaris & Studio Strolls

Asheville has one of the largest concentrations of fine artists and crafters in the country. Our guide will take your group on a studio tour of at least three of Asheville's most noted artists. Popular stops have included glass blowers, potters, metal workers and textile artists, and we choose specific artists who are both willing to demonstrate their craft and also open to communicate about their techniques and works. Though our serious art seekers prefer spending more personal time with the individual artists, we also include a visit to one of Asheville’s more prominent cooperative art galleries and an all-inclusive lunch at one of Asheville’s finer cafés.
